Property Manager

Full-time position (1 position available)

Burr Ridge, IL

Draft and post advertising for vacant properties.

Meet with potential tenants, show them the property.

Discuss the lease and explain the terms of occupancy or ownership, draft lease documents for signing.

Collect monthly fees from tenants and individual owners.

Timely submit payments for property expenses such as taxes, mortgages, payroll, insurance premiums and maintenance costs.

Inspect all building facilities on the property, including the grounds and equipment.

Take service requests, arrange for maintenance or repairs.

Screen after-hours service calls to determine whether proper maintenance personnel should be designated for emergency repairs, or whether the issue can be taken care of on the next business day.

Negotiate and arrange contracts for maintenance, trash removal, landscaping, security and other ongoing services, manage disputes with these service providers where appropriate.

Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations, settle disputes and take appropriate measures.

Maintain records of rental activity, occupancy, requests and disputes.

Prepare budgets and financial reports for company management.

Ensure that all the applications are accessed in compliance with anti-discrimination laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Federal Fair Housing Amendment Act, and local housing laws and regulations.

Required experience and education:

At least 12 months of proven experience in Management/ Finance/ Business Administration or in any related occupation.

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Accounting/ Finance/ Real Estate or any related field of study.
